Welcome to Path of Life: A Kakashi Zine! This zine is about Hatake Kakashi from Naruto and is dedicated to celebrating all stages of his life!
ABOUT THE ZINE
What is a zine/fanzine?
A zine is a fanmade booklet/magazine that is a collection of art and/or writing revolving around a particular subject or theme. It usually comes with merchandise alongside the booklet, both of which may be digital and/or physical.What is this zine about?
Path of Life is about exploring all stages of Kakashi's life—his childhood, time in the ANBU, jōnin/mentor life, time as Hokage, and then his retired life after his time as Hokage.Contributors will be asked to create pieces inspired by a certain stage of Kakashi's life.What are the zine specifications?
Path of Life will be [ZINE SPECS] with various merch options! Templates will be provided!Is this zine for-profit or for-charity? What does that mean?
This zine is a For-Profit zine. This means that all profits earned from the zine's sales will be equally distributed between contributors and mods. The profit portions of minors (ages 17 and under) and contributors/mods who would like to decline their profits will either be added to the profit pool or donated to a chosen charity.Do the mods have any experience running zines? Who are they?

CONTENT IN THE ZINE
Is this a ship zine?
No, our main zine is a general zine about Kakashi only without any focus on ships. Any platonic relationships with Kakashi are allowed, though, of course!Will this include spoilers for Naruto, Naruto: Shippuden, and Boruto?
Yes, this zine operates with consideration to all media that features Hatake Kakashi, but it won't be heavily focused on any plot subjects that don't involve Kakashi in some way! [Please also note there are spoilers for Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden in the official section explanation below!]Are there sections in this zine?
Yes, contributors will be split into sections to represent all of Kakashi's life.Those sections will be:
• Early Childhood (0-12)
• ANBU period (13-early 20s)
• Jōnin/Mentor period (mid 20s-early 30s)
• Hokage period (early 30s-early 40s)
• Retirement (mid 40s-onward)
No, NSFW will not be allowed in the main zine. If interest is high in the interest check, we may have a side NSFW ship zine.Is dead dove content allowed?
No, dead dove content is not allowed in the both the main zine and possible side zine outside of any canon interpretations of violence and storyline. Dead dove includes but is not limited to:
CONTRIBUTOR INFORMATION
How many contributors will you be accepting?
We will be accepting # artists, # writers, and # merch artists. Some of these spots are also filled by guests and mods, but those numbers are not reflected in the numbers above as those numbers are what we're accepting through applications!What kinds of pieces are page artists making?
Page artists will be making one piece that will cover an entire page of the zine. Some artists may sign up to create a spread or comic as well.What's the word count range for writers?
Writers will need to create a SFW piece between [WC RANGE] words.Once the zine is completed, do I retain the rights to my work?
Yes, absolutely! We do ask that while the zine is still actively going (starting from creation period through to shipping for leftover sales) that you do not share, post, or sell your work until the mods have given you the go ahead to do so! But you will retain all rights to your work upon the zine's completion and the zine will not retain its rights to distribute your work.How will contributors and mods communicate/keep in contact?
Our main mode of contact is through Discord and email! We do require that you have a Discord account so that you can join our zine's server; we will frequently make announcements and updates there. We will, however, also send out emails for the more important announcements. Also, any important or sensitive information (such as emails and addresses) will remain completely confidential from other contributors; only the mod team will be able to view this information.Will contributors receive free copies of the zine?
All contributors will receive the digital zine for free! We are also aiming to be able to compensate all contributors with full bundles as thanks for contributing their time and creativity. Whether or not we're able to do this is wholly dependent on sales.Are minors allowed to participate?
Yes, we are welcoming creators 16+ to apply and contribute! However, when the zine is ready to pay out its shares, we legally cannot pay minors for their services, even with parental permission, so these shares will automatically be donated to charity or added to the contributor pool (up to the minor). Please keep this in mind when you're applying!Am I allowed to drop out if something happens where I can no longer contribute to the zine?
Yes, you may drop out of the zine at any time if needed. We just ask that you inform us ASAP so that we may contact a pinch-hitter to cover your spot as soon as we can.
